I just found out about Mac's passing. I wish now I had known of his illness sooner.
Mac
helped me in many endeavors. He was a mentor when I was first learning
the language. He helped me with research into early computer design,
and provided entertaining stories to go with it. If it wasn't for his
help, my homebuilt relay computer would not exist.
He always
patiently waded through my spaghetti code, and when it didn't work
correctly he helped fix it. I learned more from his attempts to fix my
enigma simulator than any other source.
Mac, we will miss you.
