This small IDE for QB64 has been updated to include Syntax Highlighting.  Read the first post in this topic for more information.  Here's a direct download link if you don't want to read it:

Download http://www.qbasicnews.com/dav/files/davside-v106.zip (297k)

Would like some advice on the IDE color scheme and anything else you see needs attention. Thanks.

Nice Dav! I like it. Never had the IDE that big before. I see that it re-sizes.

How'd you make the program with an icon?

TerryRitchie: Thanks, glad you like it.

Clippy:  I'm using PureBasic for this project and it lets compiled EXE's include icons that windows will recognize. Nice feature. Hope QB64 will have it.  Thanks for trying it out.  :)

OlDosLover: Thanks. I made sure it would work in Win2k too.  ;)

Updated IDE to v1.07 - Now with 5 IDE Color Schemes, new ASCII table with copyable characters (because IDE won't allow them ALL to be entered from keyboard, but pasting is ok) and a couple other things.  Read this topics first post for more info, or download now.

Could it be possible to select a font such as Courier New or Consolas? Both are mono-spaced.

Earlier versions of this IDE used Courier New, and allowed for user Font selection, but using them broke compatability loading many QB programs.  Qbasic & QB64 IDE's use an OEM or "CODE PAGE 437" font that has a certain Character map that Courier New, even though monospaced, didn't seem to have. The extended ASCII character codes wouldn't show right using Courier New, so that's why the IDE now includes & uses the QB64 kind of font.

A new IDE update is up for download.

The biggest change is that the IDE now autoformats ALL keywords when typing, like QB64 does. (print becomes PRINT, etc..).  Read the first post for more update info.

I'd appreciate some testers on this new release and advice on better color schemes.

Hope you like the IDE.
