Lift-Sim (Elevator Simulator)

-----NEW USERS------------------
For people downloading LiftSim for the first time, CHECK OUT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST for the files that you need
-----EXISTING USERS-------------

As I type this, I am doing more work on liftsim (well I will be in 5 mins).  I'm programming the doors to work 'within' the liftsim main program, rather than the whole program stopping whilst they open/close.  I'll post it soon!

I've written a "Handy Guide.PDF".  Most of this was done in Adobe PhotoShop with absolutely no consideration given to anyone who wants to print it out! (I'm sure you'll find a way LOL!)

It's quite important that you look at the tutorials on YouTube, as I take you through everything step by step (it's not that difficult though)...

Part1=Install QB64, WavTester, setting up your people database
Part2=Running LiftSim for the first time ('values' file creation)
Part3=Basic Operation of LiftSim.  Call Status screen.  Building modes.
Part4=Me going on about Evacuating the building, call logic and other stuff!

Watch the videos here...Part 1 - 4:

LiftSim version60 Tutorial _PART 1 of 4
LiftSim version60 Tutorial _PART 2 of 4

LiftSim tutorial Version60 _PART 3 of 4

LiftSim tutorial Version60 _PART 4 of 4 (last one!)

These videos are viewable by URL LINK ONLY.

Don't forget to give me some feedback pleeeeeease??

Thank you!

This looks incredibly elaborate and interesting. Thanks for your effort, emery.

Hey emery,

At first I didn't think you were for real. But seemingly you are and to be honest I think it's amazing.

Can I ask how long you've been working on this project? It makes my programming efforts feel futile, but if I keep working on my project I may have a baby like this in a year or so.

No disaster occurs for any single reason.

I have yet to run it myself but watched the films offered, kudos on simulation would like to see a representitive body come out and into the doors. if only colored smiley coming out filled circle going in and perhaps some caption balloons to represent comunications of people.

it would also seem cool to have an ai for janitors or maintanaince/security workers who comunicate.
and respond to situations.(fire fighter's)

perhaps even a game of catch the cat burgler before he escapes, based on systematic use of the optomized lift and manipulation of the security agents.

some feedback ideas.. 8)
