V0.954 Registers As A High Virus Threat By Norton 360

LOL @ 3 weeks. Hopefully we'll have a new version by then. Sometimes all you can do is laugh.
For good measure I enabled 'Norton community watch' on my Norton 360. Maybe this will help too with the "Very few users" setting. :-\
I'll let you know when I get the next Email.
Afterthought: Maybe I could prepare releases then delay them until white-listing is successful... but I'm not going to let Norton/Symantec ruin my fun, that's Apple's job.

I don't understand what's their problem? How is it possible that Norton finds it as a virus? Is it a bug in Norton?
I have never used Norton. I have used Malwarebytes, Avast and MSE, and I trust them completely (even though MSE is made by M$).
The best solution to a problem is usually the easiest one. Get Linux :D
Galleon, what has Apple done to you to ruin your fun (except for existing)? :D I CANNOT tolerate Apple at all.
LeChuck:
Norton IS the virus! It slows down the system like hell and doesn't want to be uninstalled and likes to nag and interrupt various stuff. I think I remember Norton from keeping me formatting a friend's system.

When a new release of QB64 is made, until it is used by at least 5 people who have Norton installed and 'community watch' setup to report back data to Norton, Norton considers it to be a risk simply because of that fact that not many people use it.
DSMan195276:
Well, since it is only 5 people, perhaps we could have 5 people that get the release early so they can register it with Norton and remove the problem?

Well, at Symantec's request I'm apparently not even allowed to discuss the result of the white-listing request! ::)
I'm also, apparently, not even allowed to discuss the fact that QB64 has undergone a white-listing request process (which I was not told of in advance) so apparently I should remove some of the posts in this thread now!
All I can say is read between the lines of the snippet from the Email above and know that if I ever suspected QB64 had a virus I would immediately remove it and post notifications everywhere on the forum and to your Email addresses.
