How would anybody EVEN know or care that was done? That's being a bit too neat... ;)
Take for example the big boss fight where he thinks he is about to vanquish the hero once and for all, so he feels like gloating and revealing his plans. You don't want things to slow down because the system decoded it was time for garbage collection.
