Just a quick note: Sorry about that, last night, I lost my conection, and couldn't re-connect, until this morning, this is common with the usb device, it had nothing to do with the server.(on your end) nor the client program on my end,

Ah, no problem. It was nice talking with you either way. On that note I'm actually having trouble connecting with the server and and logging in. Looking back at the code, I'm not amazingly happy with this chat anymore, and I've decided that I'm going to be rewriting the entire thing because editing it completely will take to long. In case you were wondering the problems:
1. CPU usage is way to high, and I should be able to lower this.
2. Server seems to have problems with letting people log in
3. Server also seems to have problems saving and gathering info. Checking the password file, I noticed lots of 'GuestXXXX' names registered, which shouldn't happen.
3. In general, I'm not happy with the Clients behavior.
The are some other bugs, but the main problem is that both programs were not designed with a password system, ranking system, etc. In mind, so the code gradually became more and more unstable as I added in these things. With my redesign I should be able to take away a lot of these problems. I can't say when this redesign will be done though, as in the next coming weeks I won't have lots of time on my hands. I'll leave this server up if anybody wants to use it, but hopefully I'll have the redesigned and have the new server up soon.

I had noticed that on the CPU, usage, it gets the cooling fan running!
Will be looking forward to see how it turns out, sorry I don't know enough to help much, but anyway I enjoy "testing",..

Is there a designated time for the QB64 chat? if not it may be good to set one so people can be on at the same time - may help in testing the chat too. I'm curious how well it works with many connections.

In theory it should work the same multiple connections, of course just in theory since I haven't ever tested it. And I'm just keeping it running 24/7 right now. Perhaps a designated time for a meet-up of sorts isn't a bad idea though. I feel like limitations may happen more due to my computer or network then the actual program, so that may be something to take into consideration.

Exactly my point ;)
And believe me, you've been a big help testing it out, thanks a bunch :)
